Suntech Solar Panels

Suntech, established in 2001, stands as a renowned global photovoltaic manufacturer. Over the past 22 years, the company has focused on research and development, as well as the production of crystalline silicon solar cells and modules.

With a presence in over 100 countries and regions worldwide, Suntech has a robust global sales network. One distinctive aspect of Suntech is its Australian founder, Shi Zhengrong, who led the company from modest beginnings to achieving world records in solar panel efficiency in 2009.

By 2011, Suntech had become the world’s largest solar manufacturer. However, in 2012, the company faced financial instability due to a 560 million euro scam related to purported German Government bonds, which, in reality, was an Italian scam.

Despite declaring bankruptcy, Suntech managed to avert total collapse by being acquired by Sunfeng International Clean Energy Ltd. Today, they continue to thrive.

Furthermore, Suntech has obtained the prestigious VDE Certification from a German testing company, known for subjecting panels to rigorous testing simulating harsh conditions spanning decades. Suntech emerged successfully from these tests, becoming only the third manufacturer ever to pass such demanding evaluations.

Suntech operates three manufacturing facilities, all currently located in China, specifically in Wuxi, Changzhou, and Chuzhou. The company has a remarkable track record of delivering more than 40 gigawatts of photovoltaic (PV) products and services to more than 100 countries.

They also hold an impressive portfolio of over 600 authorised patents. Suntech’s achievements and recognitions are noteworthy:

  • From 2007 to 2009, they received the Solar Energy Company of the Year award from Frost & Sullivan.
  • In 2008 and 2009, Frost & Sullivan recognised their Solar Energy Technology Innovation.

Our Thoughts

A quality product for a reasonable price, manufactured by a massive Chinese company with a strong and long trading history. One of the longest distributed panels in Australia, and only one of the largest manufacturers designed by an Australian.

We have personally worked with Suntech for several years, selling in excess of 60,000 panels a year, and barely had any problems with them! outstanding performance.

The Australian office allows for warranty issues to be catered for, even if your installation company disappears.

They will be a good choice by anyone, they will last the test of time and produce power for years to come.

We would put them on our own house or business.
