Pros
PRO – Great value inverter
PRO -Australian Office
PRO – They manufacture all components themselves.
PRO – According to Sinovoltaics analysis of financials, Sungrow sit in 12th place in the world. (source – Sinovoltaics report 2022) which puts them in the ‘safe’ zone
PRO – According to BloombergNEF – Number 1 – MOST Bankable inverter supplier for the last 4 years, and the only supplier that is classed as ‘100%’ bankable
PRO – one of the best inverters for OVERSIZING, they seem to be able to cope with lots more panels than other hybrid inverters.
Cons
CON – There has been an issue with some of their inverters making noise. Apparently due to the high voltage parts used within them. So just be thoughtful about this when it comes down to placement of the inverter within your property. Although the new generation hybrids seem to be ok. I always think better to be safe than sorry though and place it in an area where a little bit of noise is not going to be an issue for you.
Our Thoughts
A quality product, manufactured by a massive Chinese company with a strong and long trading history.
The Australian office allows for warranty issues to be catered for, even if your installation company disappears.
They will be a good choice by anyone, that will last the test of time and produce power for years to come.
We love the fact you can massively oversize them, like we’re talking 11.4kw of panels on a 5kw inverter. That’s just awesome and one of the best in the market for this.
We would definitely install them on our own house or business.
